We are thrilled to announce a major milestone for Animalia Mafia Island!
Starting February 15th, 2026, we are officially welcoming Dr. Joshua Sinyaeli Mbise as our first full-time Veterinary Surgeon.
Many of you may remember Dr. Joshua from our record-breaking November 2025 campaign. During his time with us, he proved to be an exceptionally competent surgeon whose technical skill is matched only by his deep passion and empathy for animals.
Having a full-time surgeon on the island is a dream come true for our project and a vital step toward our goal of establishing a permanent veterinary center. This means more consistent care, faster responses to emergencies, and a sustainable future for the health of Mafia Island’s animals.
Dr. Joshua, we are so proud to have you on the team. Your dedication to the welfare of our community’s dogs and cats is inspiring, and we can’t wait to see the impact you will continue to make. Please join us in giving a warm welcome (Karibu sana!) to Dr. Joshua!
